This Sunday we are off to Asheville, NC to work with The Timothy Project. We are taking 13 youth and 4 adults to work on whatever The Timothy Project needs us to do. It looks like we'll be constructing porches, ramps and doing some painting. We'll see what is in store when we arrive for our first workday on Monday.
After 4 days of work then we get to take a break and go to a Mercy Me concert at the Biltmore Estate! Then a day of white water rafting to follow on Friday!
If we have internet access I'll try to post pictures and update the blog.

1st summer 2009 trip...
I headed back to Maryland this past weekend to start off my season of travel. First on the agenda...dinner with Dad where I got to indulge in a round of Maryland steamed crabs! Yummm!
Then Saturday...off to downtown Arlington/D.C. to celebrate a friend's 30th birthday! Whoa...that means mine is lurking...a year and a half away! Who cares, right?! Age is just a number!
Sunday we celebrated the baptism of my best friend from high school's daughter. I'm so excited to welcome a new christian into the world!
After the baptism, Ma and I headed down to Cambridge, MD to visit with the G-parents to celebrate Father's Day with dinner with Pop. After another round of Maryland steamed crabs at Jimmy and Sooks (great restaurant in downtown Cambridge), we headed over a couple of blocks to check out the Aunt's new apartment.
Then back to Charlotte today, Monday, and now trying to start my house search all over again! Why does buying a house have to be so stressful?! Hopefully I can nail something down in the next few days so that I can head off to the next trip...CANADA!!!

Summertime!
Saturday, June 6, 2009
3 days of school left!!!
It is finally here!!! The end of the school year so that means it is the start of summer travel season!! Yippee!!! This travel season may be a little sparse compared to last year because I'm buying a house. Scary, I know, but I figured I've been here long enough and it is a great time to take the leap.
With that said...my first trip is back to Maryland for the baptism of my best friend's baby girl. Then hopefully back to close on the house and then maybe Canada??? Then back for a few days to finish packing and moving into my new house, if all goes well. Then a mission trip with the youth to Asheville, NC for a week, then back to settle into my new home!
Stay tuned for updates on all the craziness and pictures too!

And now it is that time of year...
So right now the vacations are put on hold while school is back in session...bummer! Don't worry though, I'll still be full of more traveling, still yet to be determined. Although...it is football season and with the guaranteed trips to Blacksburg as well as any other cities that may call my name to support my HOKIES!
If you know of any great places to go, feel free to share...I'm always up for new places to visit! Including a backpacking trip that I'm planning for the beginning of next summer! Turkey?? The Netherlands?? Ireland??
